I have been awaiting a hysterectomy since may....I'm in a lot of pain after having had a endometrial ablation which hasn't worked...I begged the consultant to be reseen and asked to have hysterectomy as they wanted to do a sterilisation and explority op ...but I could see no point when I'm getting severe pain in ovaries...which turned out to be cysts...I have been booked in there times now for my hysterectomy today being the last date 15/11/16 and yet again my operation is cancelled....I'm in severe pain every single day, I'm bleeding again sorry for tmi ....and at the end of my tether coping along with other medical issues....my husband is disabled and has cancer and we keep having to cancel his appointments as they are clashing with my operation dates...I don't know how much longer I can cope with the pain . I had the ablation in approx march/April

Dear Mrs Bettridge,

I am really sorry that you have had your operation cancelled 3 times. I hope that it was explained to you that this was caused by not having a bed available due to the high volume of emergency admissions on those days.

I do of course understand that this is little comfort to you in your situation and I apologise for the distress that this has caused.

I know that you have now agreed with Lynette a new date for your operation in early December. I have marked the date in my diary and will do all that I can to ensure that your operation goes ahead as planned.
