"The doctor who saw to my son was ..."

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary

(as the patient),

What I liked

The doctor who saw to my son was very efficient and friendly

What could be improved

The receptionist was very rude. I am slighty deaf in both ears and when I asked them to repeat themselves they were very abrupt and rolled their eyes. They did not have a name badge on.

Anything else?

The nurse we saw before we went into the doctor (triage) was also very abrupt, I was not sure of the processdure as I have not attended A and E for many years and they acted as though it was a massive trouble to help. They did not have a name badge on.

Thank you for your comments. I was very concerned to learn that you had an upsetting experience when you visited the A&E Department with your son and am sorry that you have formed a poor impression of certain aspects of the service you received. We have fed back your comments to the department will reflect on what you have said, both the good and the bad.

If you wanted to discuss your experiences in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail (Patient.Relations@wwl.nhs.uk) or telephone (01942 773343).
