"I had a miscarriage last week ..."

About: Epsom Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had a miscarriage last week and went to the A&E in Epsom Hospital. The Gynaecologist in A&E was brilliant!! I wish I remember their name. I was very scared at first when I arrived A&E, but the staff at the reception, the nurse who assess me and the Gynaecologist treated me really good so I was very relaxed.

What could be improved

I went back to Epsom Hospital on the 12 May for a further scan and found the staff in the scan department were very 'cold'. I had just lost a baby so I was very upset, but the staff in the scan room almost made me feel I that I was 'wrong' to cry and to feel upset. They were not sympathetic at all. I was quite disappointed and this was the worst part of my hospital journey.

Anything else?

Four days after I was discharged from the hospital, the Gynaecologist in A&E called me and asked how I was feeling. I was over the moon when receiving their call and once again forgot to ask for their name. I am very grateful for the care from the staff in A&E! Thank you!
