I am a retired RHCH trained nurse . Today was the reunion of RHCH Nurses League [ founded pre second war ] 60 + members attended and we concluded with a service in the Chapel . We all felt that the Chapel no longer existed as a place of tranquility and worship , where have the lovely carvings gone and the beautiful Alter , also the chairs have been removed [ some were in place as requested today ] The day after the sudden death of my husband i sat in the chapel , it was so peaceful and helped me a great deal , where do relatives now find the peace that they desperately need ? . How sad .
