"Felt anxious about my appointment"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I was very anxious about my appointment at the endoscopy unit as I had built a picture in my head about how awful it would be. But actually all the nurses and doctor were very friendly and reassuring. Craig and Jodi made me feel completely at ease and explained what would happen in detail, I felt so much better and actually like they said it wasn't that bad, so a big thank you to them.

Dear Juno

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback on Patient Opinion.

I can completely understand why you would feel anxious about coming for an endoscopy procedure. It was a procedure that you'd never had before so how you felt before coming in is quite normal. It was great to read that the experience was much better than you expected and that Craig and Jodi were able to support you well throughout the procedure. I will gladly pass your post and your thanks on to them and our other staff now.

I hope that you have recovered well and hope that you won't be so anxious if you ever have to visit us again in the future.

Thanks again

Kind regards

Gill Ogden
