"Dental Derpartment"

About: Queen Marys Hospital (Sidcup)

Booked in to have teeth extraction. Have never felt so much pain from a dental anaesthetic. Was told by the dentist to say if i was in any pain and they would stop. It was excruciating but was told that i was wrong and to calm down. They then proceeded to pull my tooth out and I was still in extreme pain but they just carried on and told me that i couldnt feel anything. It was barbaric. I am due to go back for more treatment but there is no way i will put myself through that again.

I am very sorry to hear about the pain that you experienced during your dental procedure.

This is obviously a concern and it would be helpful for us to follow up on this.

Can I suggest that you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service who will be able to help you further.

Sorry once again that your experience was not up to standard. The PALS team can be contacted on: Tel: 01689 863252 Email: kch-tr.PALSkent@nhs.net
