Before (when it was run by a different provider) I really didn’t like the practice. The receptionists didn’t let you finish your sentence before telling you that they had no appointment before putting the phone down. They assumed that an appointment was all a patient might be calling about. Getting an appointment was so hard that we used to go to the walk in instead – for me and my children.

Now (service provided by Brownlow Health) you get time to speak, you can talk to the receptionist and get an appointment, often on the same day. It has really changed. Much improved now. I am really happy with the service now.

I called about my teenage daughter who had a bad headache. The GP called me back within the hour. They said that they needed to see her and to bring her in.

I don’t need to go to the walk in anymore. My family can go back to using the GP practice.

(I work for the NHS as a nurse so when the practice had problems it was difficult to see)
