"Nice Hospital and Staff but!"

On the Tuesday I was scheduled to see the consultant there was an x ray screening vehicle parked outside the hospital front entrance which took up quite a few parking spaces, this hospital is extremely limited for parking space so any reduction in parking is bound to cause delays and frustration. I would assume that having a temporary screening unit on-site would mean that more patients would be visiting the hospital on that day, therefore adding to the problem. In my view the hospital should substantially improve its arrival information for NHS patients including detailed maps and visual signage (two non-NHS visitors I met in the care park were fuming at the parking chaos) Communication of the internal layout of the building needs to be improved with regard to reception desk(s) and waiting areas and facilities, the consultant was on time and the examination and advice was very good, the hospital appears clean and well maintained. Given the choice I am unlikely to visit this hospital again due to the parking issues, the only good thing to say is there are no parking charges.
