Three weeks ago I had a hip replacement. the doctors / nurses during all aspects of the investigation of my needs were happy/pleasant/kind/considerate/a pleasure to deal with. When I came in for the operation the nurse who checked me in had just returned after a hip operation and they were so kind/considerate/reassuring/they went through it all with me and they were really wonderful. The staff who dealt with me at the anaesthetic stage were brilliant. They were kind/considerate/reassuring. I cannot praise too highly. The doctors were I'd say as good as they could be, again kind/considerate/reassuring so I felt any concerns I had were covered so I felt comfortable. The ward staff were fantastic - always there/reassuring/helpful/considerate and I felt nothing was too much trouble for them. They were wonderful. In all respects my experience was wonderful. I have had private treatment recently and my experiences in Dorchester Hospital was of a higher quality. For the last twenty years I have been a company director running mystery shopping programmes and although not evaluating health care I know good quality when I see it.
