"Homophobic?"

A surgeon who would not acknowledge my partner and continued to call her 'my friend' even though they were corrected a number of times made me feel uncomfortable and like me relationship was not worth acknowledgement. After looking over to the nurse in the room for confirmation on this behaviour, they rolled their eyes and shrugged their shoulders as this was something to be expected. Was not expecting this in 2016 or from a professional.
