What I liked

Everyone, from Surgical team right through to ward, catering and cleaning staff were courteous, friendly and considerate. I was on ward 11 for knee replacement surgery under the consultant on April 29th for three days and right from first arrival I felt well looked after..

Nurses listened, responded promptly and were cheerful and informative.

I talked election campaign and Gordon Brown's gaffs with the lady who mopped the floor, discussed menus and variations with chicken breasts with the charming catering man as he opened the windows for me and always had a kind word and a smile from each and every one of the ward staff (even had a laugh whilst two nurses inserted a catheter at 2 in the morning).
