(as the patient),

My fiancée was admitted to the Birthing Centre at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in late October to be induced for the birth of our first child.

The standard of care was nothing short of exceptional and the Midwife Team who looked after my partner went way beyond the call of duty throughout her stay in the Birthing Centre. After the birth of our boy we were moved to Ward 16 and again the compassion and care of the staff was first class from admission to when she was discharged.

The staff in both the Birthing Centre and Ward 16 were an absolute credit to Northumbria Healthcare and we will forever be grateful to the wonderful staff on both wards.
