What could be improved
Administration
Anything else?
My father has recently been diagnosed with throat cancer and was due to go into Cheltenham Hospital on Monday (10th May) for 5 days of chemotherapy.
It is now Wednesday and there is no sign of a bed being available.
He has to ring up every morning to see if he is going into hospital or not, so our lives are on hold.
Is this a way to treat a serious illness?
Is this a way to run a health service?
Is this a way to treat a man in his seventies who has never before spent a single night in hospital and who had to ring the ward to find out what he should bring with him - as he hadn't received an explanatory letter?
I think not.
