"Long wait for a new wheelchair in Bolton"

About: Bolton PCT NHS Bolton CCG

(as the patient),

I am Wheelchair/House Bound. I suffer from renal anaemia due to kidney failure which leaves me VERY tired.

I have waited a long time for a more easily manouverable wheelchair. Everytime I call I am told the wheelchair "has been ordered, we will let you know when it arrives".

This has gone on since last year.

Update posted by id (the patient)

Since the above my health deteriorated. I needed a powerpack for my wheelchair, ended up going through a judicial review and won years later in June 2013. Since then still waiting for the powerpack.

This seems to be common occurrence, having to fight for what's needed and then wait.

Ridiculous.
