I have been a regular visitor to The Cumberland Infirmary for 18 years.
I have had cancer twice and my husband has had it once. We were both very pleased with our inpatient experiences.
Clinics in the Breast Clinic Department were always running late. But I didn't mind because I knew that the consultant and team would have all the time in the world to spend with me, I always felt that they actually knew me, I wasn't just another patient and I never felt rushed.
A doctor from Gastro rang me up to see how I was coping - you can't get better than that - and our conversation saved me a trip and freed up space in the clinic.
My experience at the ophthalmology clinic yesterday as on previous ocassions was excellent. Once again
I never felt rushed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Granted there is a lot of waiting around but that is always due to waiting for eye drops to work.I think we have a lot to be proud of in our hospital - let's give credit where it's due.
"Outstanding"
