"*Some* nurses were very caring"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

(as the patient),

What I liked

*Some* nurses were very caring

What could be improved

Most staff didn't care at all, everytime I was moved the staff kept getting mixed up with the facts and kept telling me I had a totally different problem. Took me ~8 hours to see the doctor and he saw me for 10 seconds, I told him what was wrong, he said he hadn't heard of it but it "sounded about right" then instead of treating me / testing me they just left me in a bed for 12 hours, I ended up extremely sleep deprived and was completely not with it. If I hadn't gone to hospital at all I would have been less ill.

Anything else?

I saw nurses accidently unplug someone's life support, I saw a nurse walking (very slowly) with a crash cart (although she did get reprimanded for this by the other nurses who were all running)

In Cardiology the alarm button is unreachable. The Phone card vending machine registers £5 notes as 50p, the reception then said they would bring me a phone card, never happened so I lost my £5.

Generally the doctors didn't care, as soon as they had a diagnosis they didn't bother treating me, they just left me there, at some points without even monitoring me despite the fact I really needed to be monitored.
