I was visiting Weymouth from a caravan site in nearby Wareham, and was walking with my wife through the funfair outside the Pavilion theatre and tripped over a raised wire on the floor between two rides. I landed face down and although very lucky not to have broken any bones, the bridge on my nose was bleeding profusely and would not stop. The staff at the funfair did not have a first aid kit and directed me to the Pavilion to find out if they could help. A very helpful person produced a first aid kit but her colleague suggested we came to your walk in centre. The first person insisted on driving us to the hospital and would not accept any payment which has restored our faith in human kindness! We were dealt with by a very friendly, helpful receptionist who found all of my details on screen and advised to take a seat. I was not waiting too long before I was assessed and then had to wait to be seen by someone else. Eventually they were able to control the bleeding and I was allowed to leave but not before I had been checked out for possible head injuries etc. We are so very fortunate to be able to visit centres like yours and to be treated in a very dignified manner. Thank you so much to all concerned.
