Exceptional care by doctors and nurses.

What could be improved

Although only due for an overnight stay I caught an infection and had to stay for 12 days. The infection resulted in a complication which could have led to a serious re-operation. Catering is still stuck in the 1950s, and as I have diabetes I have to eat carefully. Food was full of salt and sugar.

It took three hours of sitting in the ambulance bay while several vehicles were packed outside while the crews had a long noisy break. Nobody believes in staggered breaks. One of the crews had overalls covered in cigarette smoke. After waiting three hours for an amulance I protested and was taken home in a taxi. I tried to input this information in October but the site was not operating.

Anything else?

I wrote to the chair of the trust in January and recieved an acknowledgement on January 29. Despite the promise that I would recieve a full reply within their usual 25 working days, it took almost three calendar months for this to arrive.

Despite the excellent service by doctors and nurses, the othetr departments have much to improve upon.
