"Disgusting Nursing Staff"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Urology

What a horrendous stay I had on H1 recently, totally disgusting staff, after major surgery the nurses did not care, there was the odd couple who went above but the majority of them totally useless and inadequate down to the Sisters/staff nurses.

Whats the point in a DRsaying painkilers houlry if you dont even get them once every 6hrs!

Staff never came when anyone pressed the buzzers, ward was quite empty too not like they were run off their feet.

Extremely bad/lack of care here, it has been a terrible experience and no doubt probaby cause PTSD, this no way should be the standard of care to a person who has just had major surgery.

Whats the point in putting in a a complaint when they will all back each other up? None just totally disgusting service, and witnessing a 7 hour discharge wait for medicines to go home! then have the same happen to me, its insane because nothing happens in that time, totally disgusting/appalling/ bad.

All the Doctors and nursing staff pre theatre were excellent just that ward H1 is appalling, I have been on H2 before and you just couldnt comare the two, what is the problem here??

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Thank you for your kind words concerning ward H2 and the pre theatre staff, they will be very encouraged by them.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience on ward H1. I understand you have concerns about the complaint process but we would like to look into this matter further and therefore we would be grateful if you could provide more details.

You can do this by contacting our Patient Services Team, either by emailing them at pst@sth.nhs.uk or by calling them on 0114 271 2400,

With kind regards
