(as a relative),

A big thank you to staff in ED at UHA and Dr Murphy Ophthalmology for rapid care and treatment of my husband in a scary and unexpected situation when he lost the sight in his right eye out of the blue. Then next day scans in cardiology department at UHC arranged by on call physicians at UHA on a Sunday which went absolutely as planned.

Dr Ghosh was patient, honest and helpful at his next day clinic and arranged same day urgent echo to rule out further clots in mitral valve.

Sight loss may be permanent but rapid and caring diagnosis, investigation and treatment gave us confidence to deal with the situation..

I am sorry to hear you and your husband both had such a traumatic experience and there may be permanent damage, it must have been very scary too. However, I am really glad you found the care to be so helpful in the situation. I will be very happy to pass this to the teams and in particular Dr Murphy and Dr Ghosh. I hope your husband recovers as fully as possible.
