"Administration procedures at QMC"

My wife who has dementia as well as other problems had an appointment to see a Nero consultant at 3 pm, this appointment has been booked since Aug this year, at 2pm as we were just parking up we received a telephone call from one of the secretary's to say that the clinic had been cancelled because the consultant was on annual leave and his secretary had forgotten to inform his patients although they had known about this for approx a month. in order to attend this appointment we had had to change all her day care arrangements with all the associated costs to ourselves involved.
