"Lovely ward with brilliant staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

Our little boy spent a few days here when he was 2 days old and received treatment for jaundice and an infection. The staff were all brilliant. It's a lovely ward, clean and private rooms where you can stay with your child. He revieved wuick treatment, was regularly monitored and the nurses were lovely helping us coping with our first baby. The doctor went out of their way to make sure we could get home after a few days and have quality time with our son but still receive his antibiotics via a community nurse or Canterbury hospital. We visited again when he was a month old with reflux and they monitored him and again were great in his fast diagnosis and treatment. They listen to your concerns and always try their best to answer all questions. Its good to know this place is here if we ever need it again as I trust this ward!

While it must have been worrying that your son had jaundice and an infection, it is good to know that both he and yourself were well cared for and that you had such good treatment from the staff.

Thank you for letting us know that the staff listened to all your concerns and answered your questions, which is so important when you are a new parent as it helps your confidence.

I hope all is well with your little boy now and that he thrives well.
