What I liked
There were a couple of midwifes whom listened but the majority of mid wifes blatently ignored my partner and had an attitude problem!
What could be improved
The attitude of the mid wifes needs review immediately, When a patient requests assistance with pain i.e. Epidural, An epidural should then be seeked. - The hospital staff should NOT make sharing a room acceptable when women are going into labour! I had to ask 4 times for my partner be moved to another room away from other women and partners which is perverse on the hospital allowing this!
Anything else?
The attitude of the nurses / midwives on the ward were also out of line my partner requested that someone remove the catheter she was told to wait and she will have someone with her, Although it did take them 2hrs to remove the catheter and then the butterfly needle caused her pain which she asked that it was ok to remove and it was confirmed it was no longer needed this was requested to be removed at 11am this was finally removed at 4pm! - My partner then self discharged herself from the hospital as 2 days of attitude and getting herself worked up because of inabilities in the kensington building. This has finally put us off any further children or going private as we were made to feel like cattle going through the system!
