"A morning in A&E"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Accident and emergency

A morning in A&E... I went to the A&E department this morning with chest pain. From the receptionist who signed me in to the consultant who discharged me I cannot praise the staff enough for their wonderful support and the treatment I received. The department was understaffed today but that does not mean that I didn't receive first-class treatment. I do not know how these wonderful professionals continue to maintain such a positive attitude to the work they do under the daily pressures they face.

Many thanks to you all, you have my full admiration for the exhausting job you do on a daily basis .

We appreciate the time you have taken to post your comments about the care you have received in our A&E Department. I am very pleased that every member of the team provided you with the treatment and support you needed at a very troubling time for you. I will share your comments with all the teams involved and I hope that you have now made a full recovery.
