About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Admitted to this hospital with chest pains and was taken to the coronary care unit the paramedic and ambulance crew were fantastic many thanks to them. The staff on c c u were equally fantastic very professional the department was very clean nothing was to much for any of the staff even at times they got a little busy very grateful for the care they gave me.After two days I was taken to Pearson ward were I again was made to feel comfortable the ward was very clean and staff very helpful really enjoyed my stay with them many many thanks indeed.

What could be improved

Only concern I had was that patients from next ward to Pearson ward think it was Markham ward, who may have mental health problems on a few occasions wandered onto Pearson ward which I found a little worrying because of my condition and if I was asleep and was suddenly woken by someone like this could have been a bit distressing but having said that the nursing staff coped very well with problem.

Anything else?

Apart from the above everything was fine.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your views after your recent stay. I hope you are continuing to recover well. I have passed your comments about patients from other wards on to the senior matron - so the staff can consider if any improvements could be made to reduce the risk of this happening. Best wishes Sarah Turner-Saint, Head of Communications
