The charges are absolutely extortionate, double the price you'd pay in a shopping centre. And the car park has no limit, the machines should not allow more cars in than it can hold, during visiting hours if you have an appointment to go to you have no chance of getting a space and if you do you end up blocked in by inconsiderate people parking in the middle of the car parks and on the paths etc! The machines should operate on 1 out 1 in when it's reached full capacity!

I am sorry for the problems you have had with car parking and as a Trust we are undertaking a project to address the parking issues in respect of the number of spaces available.

In relation to car parking charges we do offer concessional rates for patients and visitors who fall into a number of categories such as Carers, visitors who are having to come in for long periods of time I.e. if there relative is very ill etc. The first half an hour is free so if you are just picking somebody up during that time there is no charge. Our costs are comparable with other trusts.

If you feel that you may qualify for concessionary parking then please speak to one our receptionists. Once the Parking Project is completed we are confident more parking will be available however in between times please accept my apologies for any inconvenience
