"Thank you for all you do at 111"

About: NHS 111

(as a service user),

After trying to book my baby (3 months old) In for a gp consult, I was told by the receptionist to phone back tomorrow. I was already at breaking point and this lead me into a flood of tears.

A friend told me about 111 which I promptly phoned and was told my daughter needed to be reviewed within 6 hours with the symptoms she was displaying. I didn't catch/ remember the names of the lovely ladies I spoke to but was reassured I would get a phone call back to assess as the line was busy.

I was phoned by an empathetic nurse who again reassured me and said I was doing everything I could and she had a baby who was exactly the same so knew what I was going through. I explained that I could not get in at my gp but she magically got me an appointment ...and just maybe my sanity back also. Thank you for all you do at 111-even during gp working Hours!
