What could be improved
Communication was bad.My relative was starved after being transferred from Central Middlesex for emergency surgery which never even took place. The doctors seem to think it was ok to starve her until they knew what was happening.
When my relative started to bleed on the floor. It wasn't cleaned up, still on floor next day.
The lifts were atrocious, they took ages, the patients kept getting trapped in the doors. They really need to be modernised to stop this happening. It is extremely dangerous.
Toilet on ward was the size of a cupboard.
The parking is overpriced, and there are men walking around just waiting to clamp and tow cars inccorrectly parked it appears. Lack of disabled parking spaces too!
My relative had to self discharge, and the doctor refused to give her the rest of her steroids so she could continue them at home orally. Very dangerous obviously. They refused to transfer her to the hospital where her consultant was on the basis there were no beds. Doctor did not give her a discharge summary. Doctor was wearing another doctor's ID badge.
I had to leave my relative sitting outside whilst I ran several roads to pick up my car to bring her to another hospital.
