Hi my sister is still in this place she is looking better and sounding better can't wait for her to get home, the thing that dissatisfied me the staff my sister had a salad for lunch on Tuesday she asked if she could have a jacket potato with it and the member of staff said no that is was for the chilli but everyone had been served so what was the problem,so they threw her salad in a bin and gave her chilli and jacket now my sister can't eat chilli due to her colitis, so she just threw it it frustration I'm sure as I use to work at the Arundal unit that staff are not permitted to eat the food it's for patients so why are they putting thief needs first, then yesterday she had a cup of tea and asked nicely for a biscuit to be told no lunch is I half an hour and she won't eat her food she is not a child,or was they waiting for her to kick off so they could put her in that rm to give her a sedation as I've seen this first hand at Arundal unit I'm sure it's no different here but she just got frustrated and said no biscuit I don't want the tea and threw it, I was there today visiting there was no staff in the bottom lounge and we were told abruptly to leave as it was nearly five, my sister wanted to show my other sister her room she was so proud of it but the member of staff said we are not allowed down the corridor or in her bedroom what a load of rubbish I went to her rm twice on Sunday without anyone stopping me, with staff on like this uncaring and arrogant I was quite shocked as I would never have treated patients like that I would talk to them enter act with them I saw nothing except a member outside in the courtyard kicking a ball around, if they don't want to work there then get the hell out and let someone who really cares have the job she is on Fern Ward
