My child who has complex issues, was an inpatient here on Mulberry Ward. I felt there was very little continuity and no transparency.
Living like a battery hen, was understandable not allowed in bedroom and education, therefore the majority of the day was spent in a central atrium with precious little natural light and no facility to go outside or exercise except yoga. Trying to get through on the phone is virtually impossible, a representative from the school who tried to call, felt they was met with suspicion. There is no respect for decisions you make, or even if hospital was a suitable place. Inconsistent information and judgemental attitudes by a number of the nursing and medical team, however this was not all staff. I truly did not realise how poor this hospital was until she was transferred to another hospital, which has turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
