My daughter is still waiting to have a tonsillectomy after been referred by her GP in November 2015. She was put on the waiting list finally in June 2016 after several visits to the consultant and is still waiting for the operation now (October 2016). She suffers with tonsilitis every month and is prescribed antibiotics everytime.
