"my mother in law was admitted ..."

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

my mother in law was admitted to A&E which took 8hours to get to a ward and to be seen by a doctor, she had nothing to eat for 3 days while tests were done, then they sent her home and to go back as an out patient, when she needed a colonsocopy which should have been done when she was in hospital the first time, reducing the horrendous upset she has incurred and also saving money

What could be improved

the nurses are getting better but no information was volunteered, we had to probe to find out what was happening.

must say we were going on holiday and the ward nurse phoned to say that she would be sent home so we could go away, which was greatly appreciated
