"St Helier A&E Fantastic"

About: Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust

I wasn't sure if I should bring my 14 year daughter to hospital as I wasn't sure if it was an emergency and didn't want to go unnecessarily. I wasn't with her when she fell but she was complaining of a pain in her arm also she was feeling dizzy and had been sick. When we got to A&E it wasn't too busy (more luck than judgment). The nurse worked out quickly that she hadn't banged her head. Had a x-ray, saw the doctor who told us she had broken her wrist. They then put a plaster cast on her arm. From arriving to leaving we were only in the hospital for one hour. All though this was a straight forward problem with no complications we were treated fairly and quickly. All staff were lovely and explained everything well. I feel very lucky and grateful we have a NHS and it's staff. Thank you.
