"Knee replacement"

About: Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital

I had knee replacement surgery on the 14th September 2016 . Prior to surgery I attended a pretty open clinic which I found invaluable because as a warfarin user I was concerned about how this would be handled. The clinic cleared up all my concerns and I underwent the surgery as planned . Post op I found staff were concerned about my pain relief and did everything they could to make me as comfortable as they could. All in all if you have to have this procedure then the Woodhouse Hospital is as nice an environment as you could wish for.I am currently visiting a physyiotherpist who is going through the exercise regime that is a vital part of recovery from this particular operation and I have to say he has the patience of a saint. Well done The Woodthorpe

Dear Patient,

Thank you very much for leaving your feedback and recommendation on NHS Choices.

I’m thrilled we took great care of you, that’s what we are here for and I do hope you’ll soon be back to your normal activities.

I did chuckle regarding your comment about Dan the Physiotherapist, I too have been a patients of Dan’s in the past and can completely agree, he does have the patience of a saint.

Best wishes

Mark Lacey

General Manager
