About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

Had combined Upper Endoscopy Colonoscopy. Arrived early but was told that there would be a wait. I was eventually called almost an hour after my appointment time. Once the paperwork was completed I was shown where to change and then taken to the room where the procedure was to take place. I had been anxious about what was to happen but everything was explained and I was put at ease by the 2 nurses and doctor. The procedure is uncomfortable at times, but not as bad as I had expected. After half an hour in the recovery room I was allowed to get dressed and provided with a sandwich and cup of tea. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient at all times, many thanks to Wendy, Caroline & Margaret Ann.

Thank you for your feedback about your recent endoscopy experience.

It is normal to feel apprehensive about coming for endoscopy procedures and I am glad that our staff were able to keep you well informed and supported throughout your stay.

I am sure that other patients, who are waiting to come for endoscopy, will be grateful for your honest comments about the procedures.Your post highlights that having good information and an understanding about what to expect makes all the difference to your experience and our staff will be delighted to learn that they got it just right for you.

I will gladly share your post with our staff now and I am sure that Wendy, Carolyn and Margaret Ann will be over the moon that you have given them a special mention.
