About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

Had combined Upper Endoscopy Colonoscopy. Arrived early but was told that there would be a wait. I was eventually called almost an hour after my appointment time. Once the paperwork was completed I was shown where to change and then taken to the room where the procedure was to take place. I had been anxious about what was to happen but everything was explained and I was put at ease by the 2 nurses and doctor. The procedure is uncomfortable at times, but not as bad as I had expected. After half an hour in the recovery room I was allowed to get dressed and provided with a sandwich and cup of tea. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient at all times, many thanks to Wendy, Caroline & Margaret Ann.

It is normal to feel apprehensive about coming for endoscopy procedures and I am glad that our staff were able to keep you well informed and supported throughout your stay.
