"Orthopedic care"

About: Hemel Hempstead Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

As a regular at the Orthopedic

Clinic I do find that the experience differs every time. I feel it is unfortunate that you rarely get to see the Specialist you are under because the level of care varies greatly. After a major hand operation I was hoping to see the same Specialist who undertook the operation but this was not the case. Instead, whilst telling another Othopedic Staff member that I was still suffering pain after the operation they simply stated that this in fact was not due to the operation but to other bones in the thumb joint. Apparently these bones were "crying" whilst the operation itself had been successful! I have now had to return to the Department but have to wait months as there are no appointments available!
