"Shocking"

Without writing my entire birth story I would like to second GOHs review on the 1st October. I was at the Rosie for 4 1/2 days and the place is an absolute shambles.

I 100% blame the lack off staff and lack of compassion and empathy shown by some for my awful experience. I experienced several staff change overs on the Sara ward - what a joke. I was not even acknowledged on some shifts. Out of the several teams I saw only one seemed to have the place under any control. It was exceptionally hot during my stay and the delivery unit is nothing short of totally unfit for purpose. By time I reached the delivery unit I was so exhausted by what I'd already been through I could barely sit up let alone be in a state to consider giving birth. My epidural did not work and staff did not believe me. Nothing was discussed and I was given drugs that were not explained to me. I ended up in theatre and this was the only team that were on the ball. I appreciate there is a lack of funding but the entire system should be ashamed of its self.
