What I liked
On 23/03/10 I was referred to A & E by my GP after an emergency appointment. On arrival I immediately saw the consultant who after giving me a thorough examination sent me for a M.R.I. scan which resulted in me to being transferred to Royal Preston Hospital where I had an emergency spinal operation the next day.I am very grateful to all the staff concerned - A & E department, Medical Assessment Unit and the ambulance men who transferred me. All staff were professional , dedicated and did all they could to keep me comfortable and informed about my condition. From a very grateful Richard Burnside

The excellent care which I received at Blackburn continued to the Royal Preston Hospital where I was an inpatient for 4 weeks.
