What I liked
Ambulance crew were brilliant. They really put me at ease.
What could be improved
The staff in the A & E in Chase Farm were slow to attend to me. I had to prompt them for information and to also change the saline drip every time it ran out. On one occasion it was left on for so long that the bottle filled with a lot of blow back blood. This would not have happened if they had regularly checked on me. They stand, chat and laugh amongst themselves whilst patients require their undivided attention at their time of need. Is this what nursing has been reduced too?
Anything else?
The A & E toilet is disgusting. The toilet was blocked with urine. I was forced to pee in the sink. The tap did not work. Paper towel machine was empty and half used loose toilet rolls were left tossed about.
