"Poor Communication and follow up"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Accident and emergency

My 12 year old was taken to A & E after falling off his bike and hitting his head. A junior doctor almost discharged him when another doctor said no, he must have an XRAY.

The XRAY showed he had a fractured skull. We were then told to go home and a follow up urgent appointment with the specialist would be made within the next couple of days. Almost 2 weeks later we still haven't heard a thing.i can't let him play sports or join in school activities until he has had the appointment with the specialist. Dreadful treatment.
