"Brighton Sussex County Hospital A&E"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital / Accident and emergency

I arrived at A&E at 7pm last night with my partner whi had an open wound after having a hernia operation and he didnt get seen until 11.40pm. We didnt get home until 12.39. There was no communication as to where in the line he was to be seen. He was sat there with an open wound that was very painful and leaking and didnt even get offered any painkillers. Apparently he wasnt a priority! The cleanliness of a&e is disgusting, chairs were broken, cobwebs hanging off the wall and ceilings, cups laying around and bins overflowing and not to mention the blood that was left in the urinals that someone had clearly coughed up. Never will i be returning to brighton a&e again. Go that bit extra further and go to haywards heath. You will gwt seen quicker and its alot cleaner!
