I found that the gynecology consultant spent most of their time flicking through my notes rather than speaking to me, responding with 'mmhmm' and not even looking up to listen to the responses to their questions. They kept me waiting for 20 minutes then spent less than 5 in the appointment before speaking over me to inform me that I would be having an MRI but gave no information as to why, what they were looking for or even when I would be able to review the results. In the end the results came in the form of a 2 sentence letter nearly a month after the "urgent" MRI stating that there was nothing gynecological about the results and that I was discharged. I had to go to my GP to find out what had been revealed by the MRI, leaving me wondering what was wrong with me for far longer than necessary simply because it wasn't caused by my uterus directly. Frustrated and have left crying from their department more than once. Will avoid in future wherever possible.
"Fobbed off to another department at first..."
