This was my second visit to the pain clinic after a long saga resulting in a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. The first consultant I saw there was helpful and laid out a plan with a follow-up scheduled in 3 months as well as advice regarding activities such as hydrotherapy and suggested to my GP that I have blood tests etc for vitamin deficiencies in the mean time. I returned for the follow-up appointment and saw a different consultant who was even more helpful than the first and scheduled lidocain transfusions and went out of their way to provide help with knowledge of my personal circumstances and made sure that I had full say in all decisions regarding my healthcare. I normally dislike RBH due to various factors (parking is insane, for one) but I always leave the Pain Clinic feeling happier and knowing that there's a plan in place that is actively trying to help me. The reception staff are friendly and happy to help, the consultants are knowledgeable and they are very quick to write to my GP should they need to take any actions between appointments. The Pain Clinic is the first department to make me feel genuinely cared for.
"Pain Clinic is the only reason I go to RBH..."
