"Follow up from routine breast screening"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital

(as the patient),

My husband and I were alarmed when I received a letter on a Friday asking me to come to a follow up the following Monday. However, I was seen straight away and the Breast Care Team at Kent & Canterbury Hospital could not have been more caring and professional. I felt a lot happier on leaving, even though a biopsy had been taken. I was very relieved to be rung a few days later to give me the all clear, so a return visit to the hospital was not necessary.

It's good to see that the highest standards of patient care are being maintained at a time when the Trust and its staff are under enormous pressure.

Thank you for letting know that you were seen so promptly by the Breast Care Team after what would have been quite a fraught weekend for you; I am sure that you and your husband were very anxious.

A biopsy can be uncomfortable, but I am glad to know that it provided you with reassurance and that all is now well.
