"Refused hip replacement"

About: Spire Wellesley Hospital

Refused hip replacement after waiting a year, had a consultation in June 2016 where I was told I needed a hip replacement, got a date for 26/09/2016 to come into hospital as you can imagine I was very anxious and had been preparing myself for surgery since I was told I needed one,i have degenerative arthritis which will not improve but the Consultant on the day said I did not need a hip replacement and insisted that I only needed a hip injection,i have had 3 of these and none have worked, the Consultant would not listen to me when I said I wanted the hip replacement,so very rude and unprofessional and disrespectful,i complained the day after and was told I would see another consultant only to be let down again,i will be taking this matter further as I am in so much pain and no human being should be treated like this, appalling treatment at the Wellesley and I am feeling totally let down.I have other letters from Southend Hospital also confirming I need a total left in cemented hip replacement plus I have obtained copies of my x rays, dissapointed
