"Total laparoscopic hysterectomy"

I'm 41 years old and been suffering from fibroids and heavy menstrual bleeding for over 2 years now, I had been under care of a gynaecologist for this period of time however was getting nowhere. I asked to be transferred to another gynaecologist consultant. Within a short period of time a new consultant was happy to take on my care. My consultation was excellent, they and their registrar listened to all my concerns, examined me and discussed all options, we agreed together that a total laparoscopic hysterectomy would be the best option for me. I was then in surgery within a week. I am now 2 days post op with very little pain and I'm recovering well. I was seen by the consultant and registrar following surgery and was discharged within 24 hours which was amazing. The surgery went very well and I cannot thank the consultant and their team enough. I am now so looking forward to getting on with my life without all the previous issues that were having a huge detrimental effect on my health and wellbeing.
