"General Neurology"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Neurology

I have been waiting to see my consultant since Feb 2016 for severe pain and possible Multiple Sclerosis and eventually got to see him on 21st July 2016. On my first visit we went through my symptoms and a care plan was put in order which included a Brain MRI scan and nerve conduction studies and if these tests came back normal I would be sent for a skin biopsy for possible small fibre neuropathy. My pain has got worse and I went back today after three months to be told all tests came back normal and when I asked about the skin biopsy test was told that it was not needed even though I was told would happen and all that I needed to do was take medication and that I would be reviewed in clinic in 12 months time. I need help and answers now it's ok taking medication but I feel this is just treating the symptoms without getting to the route cause of the problem!! Not happy
