"Admitted to hospital by out of ..."

About: Torbay Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Admitted to hospital by out of hours GP due to severe pain from operation in October 2009. Went in via A & E and then admitted to McCallum Ward. Staff were excellent and nothing was to much for them. Pain Clinic put me on a new regime of drugs and then saw my Consultant whom advised a double dose hydrocortosine injection which I agreed to. The consultant then said they wanted to see me within six weeks. Now three months later still not seen them and latest appointment been cancelled once again. Asked PALS for help and assistance but advised last week there was nothing they can do anymore. It seems to me that they are there just to pacify you.

Even now there is nothing to say that I will get my reschedule appointment for June which is five months from being in hospital and not six weeks. I live in constant pain and walk with crutches now all of the time.

I cannot fault my treatment at the hospital or the staff just the after care procedure

What could be improved

Nothing
