"Gallbladder problems!"

About: Weston General Hospital / Accident and emergency

Been having ongoing problems with my gallbladder since April 2016, been admitted as an emergency 4 times in total now, surgery was discussed to remove gallbladder back in June, however consultant left and didn't pass on notes, recently admitted to a&e (16th September)with severe abdominal pain, blood tests shown a blockage sent home with painkillers that night, admitted the following day as an emergency (17th September) with again severe abdominal pain, bloods indicated a blockage in bile duct, jaundice and now infection admitted with discussion of surgery the following day depending on how my body responded to the antibiotics to clear infection. kept in for 4 days after more scans and tests. Discharged 20th September with promised date in post for operation chased up this morning to be told a 9 month wait despite surgeon in a&e saying they wanted gb out ASAP due to it causing lots of ongoing problems and stones now escaping. Disgusted I'm having to wait so long despite my problem worsening.
